Offering up the Soul
History
This hymn is the offering of the Soul during Wake Services to commend the soul to be received by the creator. Interestingly, it asks that St. Joesph "take this soul to heaven accompanied by angels" and then requests "divine justice for Her chance to receive forgiveness". This unique request asks of the first Christians to deliver her soul to heaven and receive forgiveness.
